My Best Mate Training Philosophy
I love dogs, and I am passionate about making the lives of dogs and their humans better. I believe the best way to obtain this is by educating people about the best way to train their furry companions. And the way I do this? Using a scientific approach that prioritizes Positive Reinforcement and teaching the dog how to win. There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to dog training. After all, all dogs are different and so are their handlers. I am a qualified Trainer and Behaviourist and I tailor my approach firstly to the dog and then to the handler. My goal is to ensure that the handler knows how to communicate with their dog, that training sessions are fun, that they increase the bond between the two and better the dog’s quality of life. Dogs have very literally evolved alongside us for thousands of years to be our perfect animal companions. I wholeheartedly believe we owe it to our dogs to use the advancements of science and our understanding of canine psychology to train them in a way that they understand, can control, and ultimately enjoy.

We offer classes for dogs from the age of 8 weeks and up. Now is the best time to get started on learning some new skills with your best mate.
